After earning an Economics degree from the University of Houston, he founded Piper-Morgan Associates in 1977, which became one of Houston’s leading technical and professional recruiting firms. For nearly two decades, he connected top talent with opportunity, earning recognition as a trusted voice in workforce development. Beyond business, Gladney is a passionate philanthropist and creative, serving as a longtime benefactor and board leader at Today’s Harbor for Children, writing the novel Goldstar Matters (adapted into a play), and helping launch Loud & Clear, a voice therapy app designed to support people with Parkinson’s. His life story reflects perseverance—from early hardships in Louisiana and Palestine, Texas, to building a legacy of entrepreneurship, service, and impact in Houston.
